POST-PRODUCTION

Post-production was the most difficult step for me. I am very comfortable with my hands, but I sometimes have difficulty juggling softwares.

I first used After Effects to erase the rig that was supporting my character, and the unwanted elements that were sometimes found in the images. Fortunately, I had planned to take reference pictures when the rig was visible, which made the task easier. The post-production work allowed me to become more familiar with the software and I became more skilled.

What I did in Première was more the color correction and the composition. I wanted to give a night atmosphere, a bluer light, and accentuate the contrasts of certain scenes.

Towards the end of my post-production, I also realized that my settings were not always constant, so when finished, the sequences were not the same length. I wasted time re-exporting them all at the correct frame rate. I retain from this experience that it is important to always check the settings before importing, during work and before the final export!

I'm glad I gave myself plenty of time to work the post-production. It allowed me to finalize my film the way I wanted and be satisfied with the final result.
